From experience we know that the internet is a fantastic medium for sourcing information but it still doesn't beat actually speaking to a real person with travel experience. It is not every couple’s dream to head for a romantic beach for the duration of their honeymoon - some prefer a combination of sightseeing and relaxation, others prefer a bit more adventure - so whatever your requirements are, we can create the ideal itinerary for you.

The opportunities are endless, but here are just a few thoughts - all dependent upon the time of year you are getting married:

Relaxation Itinerary

  • Fly overnight to the Maldives on a direct flight from London. Boat or seaplane transfer to your chosen island. Two weeks relaxation time - either one resort or twin resort. You can fly with Emirates and build in a stopover in Dubai either outbound or inbound.
  • Fly overnight to Singapore and connect on a short flight to Bali where you can relax on the beach. Bali offers more than just a beach holiday - visit Kintamani volcano, enjoy the energetic colour of local dances, festivals and handicraft markets, plus traditional villages and temples, before flying back to Singapore for a 2nt stop en route back to London.

Romance in Europe

  • Italian Amalfi Coast - Fly to Naples and private car transfer to the Amalfi coast to stay in Ravello or Positano. There are numerous hotels here to choose from all with a tier of balconies literally tumbling on top of each other down the side of the cliff to the picture postcard beach below. During your stay take the ferry to the charming island of Capri for a 4nt stay. Capri has been entertaining the rich and famous for many years. For those interested in historic sites, a day trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius are only a short distance away from the coast.
  • Italian Lakes. Fly to Milan and private car transfer (or pick up a car hire) and head for the Lakes. Lake Maggiore, Lake Como and Lake Garda can all be visited at leisure. Romantic relaxing boat rides, stunning mountain scenery all add to the ambience of this wonderful location. From Lake Garda you can drive to Gerona and on to Venice where you could complete your honeymoon travels in this wonderfully romantic city.
  • South of France. You can either fly directly to Nice, have a private car transfer to your hotel and t hen collect your car hire a few days later. It is essential to be able to explore this famous stretch of coastline, so car hire is advisable. The Cote d’Azur is famous for its glamorous resorts like Cannes, Nice, and St Tropez. Away from the coast you will find quiet medieval villages, lakes, and the famous lavender fields. For art and culture, there is the Roman spa town of Aix-en-Provence or Avignon with its cafes and shops.
  • Switzerland - Lakes and Mountains The summer holidays are an excellent time to visit the lakes and mountains of Switzerland. Those who enjoy fascinating walks - exhilarating hikes, mountain biking tours, golf, horse riding, windsurfing and sailing these are some of the many activities which can be experienced during a visit to Switzerland in the summer months. It is easy to get around Switzerland by boat on the lakes and the ‘alpine train’ system which offers fantastic scenery. Montreux on Lake Geneva is famous for its beautiful location in the south western part of Switzerland. Enhanced by the spectacular background of the Alps, Montreux offers visitors the chance to visit many sumptuous palaces and to see the district of Clarens-Montreux-Territet, the lake with the Chateau de Chillon on its rocky islet, the mountains of the Savoy Chablais and the sparkling Dents du Midi. Lucerne sits on the western edge of Lake Lucerne and is a great place to base yourselves to explore the surrounding area with picture mountains, lakes, cowbells, alpine villages and meadows full of edelweiss. The town itself has a pedestrian area of cobbled streets where the houses, shops and hotels are painted in medieval style or decorated with displays of flowers.

Beach and Safari

Relax on a beach in the Indian Ocean before heading out on to a romantic honeymoon gazing at the star-studded skies of Africa on safari.

  • Safari in Kenya at one of the luxury camps in the Masai Mara like Ol Seki Mara Camp or Kicheche Bush Camp for 3 nights where you can enjoy a hot air balloon ride over the Mara, 3nts at Laikipia Camp to sleep under the stars and 3nts at Shompole. Connecting flight to Zanzibar to Baraza or Fundu Lagoon for 7nts to relax after your early mornings out on safari.
  • Fly to Victoria Falls in Zambia, spend a few nights in the stunning honeymoon suite at Tongabezi Lodge overlooking the Zambezi River, before flying to Royal Zambezi Lodge in Lower Zambezi National Park for walks, game drives, canoeing on the River Zambezi where you can get up close to elephant, hippo and buffalo.
  • South Afridca and Mauritius. Fly to Mauritius for a week to relax after your wedding before flying to Johannesburg and up to Kruger Park for 3nts Lion Sands at Ivory Lodge, 2nts at Camp Jabulani to enjoy the wonders of an elephant back safari.
  • Tanzania - Fly into Dar es Salaam and short transfer to the coastal region 35 miles south of Dar es Salaam to enjoy total relaxation on the beach at Ras Kutani for 4nts before flying by light aircraft to Tarangire for 2nts at Olivers Camp. Fly to the Serengeti for 3nts at Sayari Camp. Fly to Manyara and transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater for 2nts at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Return to Dar es Salaam for the short flight to Zanzibar for 7nts at Baraza Lodge. Adventure Itinerary
  • Brazil - Overnight flight from London to Sao Paulo, Brazil. Connecting flight to Recife and road transfer to Nannai Beach Resort for 7 nights. Nannai Beach Resort is located only 34 miles from Recife and 6 miles from Porto de Galinhas, on the paradisiacal beach of Muro Alto, on the southern coast of Pernambuco State. Muro Alto owes its name to the coconut palm-lined sand cliffs found in the area. A famous beauty spot known to enchant every visitor, the beach and offshore reefs form a beautiful 2½ km-long tide pool with a sandy bed, where guests can admire the outstanding natural beauty while they enjoy breakfast in the seafront restaurant. www.nannai.com.br . After relaxing by the beach and seeing some local sights you then have a wide variety of options available for the more energetic: canoeing, abseiling, fly-fishing and trekking, horse riding, exploring the Amazon, diving - endless options. The best way to get around Brazil is by plane due to the vast distances involved.
  • Costa Rica - Fly to Costa Rica via Miami and take an internal flight to one of the beach resorts to relax and unwind after all your travels and the excitement of the wedding. 7nts on the beach (e.g. Four Seasons Punta Mita or Paradisus). Private car transfer to Monteverde Cloudforest - a privately owned reserve often shrouded in mist. This area offers a vast diversity of birds, big cats, monkey and plants. Stay here for 3nts in say Hidden Canopy Treehouses surrounded by gardens and waterfalls. From here there are so many tours you can enjoy - a canopy zip-line tour and a great suspended bridge walk above the cloudforest. Guided night forest walks available, horseback riding, waterfalls tours etc. Travel on to Arenal to see Arenal Volcano which is still active. Stay at say Tabacon Lodge Hot Springs and Spa Resort for 3nts. Drive to San Jose for 1nt to position yourselves for your return flight to London. There are so many places of interest to stay in Costa Rica, the above are only just a few brief ideas.
  • Discover Malaysia and Borneo. Fly overnight to Kuala Lumpur and connect with a flight to Kuching in Borneo. Relax on one of the lovely sandy beaches for 5nts before setting off on a bit of an adventure - travel by boat down swirling rapids, trek through the far reaches of the Borneo rainforest, stay overnight at Dayak Longhouses, visit Mount Kinabalu National Park enjoying a canopy walk and hot springs. Visit Sukau to get up close to Proboscis monkey, Orang Utan and elephant and for the really fit and healthy, climb Mount Kinabalu, South East Asia’s highest mountain.
  • Canada - explore the wonders of Canada - fly to Calgary, collect your car hire and make the short drive to Banff for 3nts. Allowing plenty of time to explore the wonderful lakes, mountains and scenery of this region, you can then drive to Lake Louise and Jasper - all within easy driving distances. Board the Rocky Mountaineer and head for Whistler for 2-3nts. Collect your car hire and head over on the ferry to Vancouver Island. This island offers so much with its diverse ecosystems, where visitors can see Orca Whales, minke and humpback whales, Pacific harbour seals and Dall’s porpoises, grizzly bears, rainforests, beaches, mountains, rivers and lakes, beaches and bird watching - the island is very unspoilt and offers visitors an endless amount of things to see and do for those who love the outdoors.
