Cruising And Yacht Charters

Cruising is one of the most relaxing forms of travel. It is the ideal way to experience many exciting destinations without having to pack and unpack or transferring by plane, train, or car to get from place to place. You have the large luxurious liners of Regent Seven Seas, P&O Cruises - their new ultra luxury liner Azura, Royal Caribbean and Cunard who are scheduled to launch their new liner Queen Elizabeth in the autumn of 2010.

The smaller luxury ships of Silverseas, Seabourn and Windstar where you are given a warm welcome and can enjoy cruising with like-minded people.

The more active and outdoor lifestyle that SeaDream offer is perfectly suited to spending the Winter months around the smaller yachting islands of the French Caribbean and Virgin Islands, away from package tours, mega-liners and charter flights. They spend their summers in the chic resorts, along unspoiled coasts, and around the must see islands of the wider Mediterranean including the Amalfi, Croatia, the Riviera and Greece.

The SeaDream experience - is intimate and yet relaxed, is private yet convivial and it is exclusive.

Specialist cruising

There are a wide range of possibilities and destinations for example:

Germany - The Rhine and Moselle sailing from Cologne to Koblenz where it meets the Moselle, meander on to the fortress town of Boppard, the wine country town of Rudesheim to Hedelberg, or you can continue to Strasbourg or Basle.

Norway - Norway is the leading cruise destination in Northern Europe with more than 35 cruise ports along our 1300 nautical mile-long coast line. Cruise through Norway’s spectacular Fjords, lakes and mountains - your cruise will take you deep inside the Fjords.

Italy - take a luxury cruise on Venice’s Lagoon and at the same time get the chance to enjoy the landscape and historic monuments.

Russia - cruise from Moscow to St Petersburg sailing on the Volga Baltic Waterway to Lake Orega, the second largest lake in Europe, along the Svir River and then to Lake Ladoga, the largest lake in Europe.

Egypt - From luxury before sailing visit the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Temple of Karnak and The Temple of Hatshepsut. From Luxor sail to Edfu and disembark to see the Temple of Edfu and get the chance to explore a local market. Leaving Edfu the boat sails on to Aswan. Whilst the boat is moored in Aswan you will be able to visit Temple of Abu Simbel, visit a Nubian Village (getting there by camel or boat), the High Dam, the unfinished Obelisk, Old Granite Quarries and make a trip by boat to the Temple of Philae on Philae Island. The boat then returns back to Luxor.

France - sail along the Canal du Midi in France - relax on the river and enjoy the sun and scenery of the French countryside on a luxury sailing trip.

Adventure Specialist Cruises:

The smaller adventure ships allow you to cruise to areas such as Alaska, Galapagos Islands, Amazon and Antarctic. On these cruises the ships private zodiacs which are able to take you up close and personal with nature and on board you have expert specialists who are able to speak to you about the areas you are visiting. Because these cruise ships are small, they are able to sail to so you are then able to take you to visit indigenous cultures and lots of wildlife-viewing as they tend to visit unspoiled areas that offer an abundance of life and not normally accessible by air or by road.

Life on board is more relaxed and informal and in contrast to the glamorous large cruise liners, these ships have on board a bar and a lounge, usually a small library stocked with books about the destination and its natural features, and frequent talks by the ship’s resident experts about what you can expect to see at the next stop. Passengers and crew on these expedition cruises mix together much more freely, with the captain, officers, naturalists and exploration leaders usually sitting down to meals with their guests. The resident naturalists and other staff experts are always around for casual conversations in the lounge or out on deck.

For example:

Alaska - you can cruise the famous Inside Passage to get close to nature and to the glaciers and humpback whales. A cruise can be followed by more time to explore Alaska on land. You can travel either by car or train from Anchorage up to Denali National Park where you could stay for 1-2 nights to try to track and see grizzly bears, moose, caribou, wolves and lots of birdlife - golden eagles and also some migrating birds. You also have the amazing Mount McKinley, the highest mountain in North America - it has 5 glaciers. Take the scenic train up to Fairbanks where at certain times of the year you can see the Northern Lights.

Yacht Charters

Everything from small sailboat charters to crewed charters on luxurious yachts. All chartered boats must meet the five star qualifications with a record of each boat’s reliability and the qualifications of its crew if you need to hire a yacht with crew. The most popular areas for boat charter are the Mediterranean and the Caribbean but you can visit most of the world on a chartered yacht. Please contact us for more details.
